The shy son (Chittenden) of an aging comedienne (Blethyn) tries to find a balance between his demanding home life, his new girlfriend (Booth), and his mother’s second chance at fame.

A promising track star’s running career is interrupted by Australia’s entrance into World War I. Archy is an excellent candidate for the Olympics, and coached by his Uncle Jack - “How fast can you run?” “As fast as a leopard!” - he nonetheless abandons his athletic pursuits in order to do the patriotic thing - join up.

A wild, vicious pig terrorizes the Australian outback. The first victim is a small child who is killed. The child’s granddad is brought to trial for killing the child but aquitted. The next victim is an American TV-journalist. Her husband Carl gets there and starts to search for the truth. The local inhabitants won’t really help him, but he is joined by a hunter and a female farmer to find the beast.

Born charmer Sean Okden gave up tap-dancing when he started working in the steel mill, but as that’s going down the hill he grabs his chance being the only candidate in his coastal Australian home town Newcastle selected for a Sidney show. Being sacked soon just for a row with the arrogant lead dancer, he returns to find his girlfriend in bed with his brother Mitchell, and decides to start his own tap-dance group wearing hardhats, which he soon gives an original edge when the steel mill inspires him to weld metal on their shoes and dance on industrial steel, so it the metallic acoustics fit well with a local rock group. Financing their local debut is so expensive, even when the mill allows them free us of its premises -opening some acrobatic perspectives- while even his father won’t allow him to touch his mother’s inheritance for the project, that the ‘Bootmen’ need to steal the cheerleaders’ podium in a televised sports match to get media attention. Sean generously helps his brother when attacked, at the price of their motorbikes, only to learn his assailant Huey and Mitch rival as car (part) thieves, but still allows him into the group - only to see his fatal fall during an attack by Huey’s goons. Even when the mill announces phasing out Sean continues, now as a benefit for the sacked workers’ retraining.

Based on the true story of Australian pianist David Helfgott, this delightful movie charts the early and traumatic early years. Telling the story in flashback we see David as he grows up and into a child prodigy while his father abuses him and his siblings with the memory of his childhood in Europe and the loss of his family in the concentration camps. David finally breaks away from his father and goes away to study overseas, he later suffers a breakdown and returns to Australia and a life in an institution. Many years later he is released and through several twists of fate (in reality even more unlikely than film portrays) he starts playing a piano in a bar before finally returning to the concert hall.

Mad Max is a former cop who finds himself in a post-apocolyptic desert town called Bartertown. He is hired by the leader of the city to fight in a gladiator like arena called Thunderdome, so he can kill Auntie’s rival master blaster. He is later banished and finds a group of children that survived a plane crash during the war. They believe he is their former pilot Captain Walker. Some of the children leave to find their fabled tomorrow morrow land. So Mad Max has to save them from the desert and from Auntie’s Bartertown.

It’s the 1960s, Australia. 4 orphaned boys, who are best friends, escape their orphanage and go to a beach resort. At the resort is a couple that’s keen on adopting a boy, which causes tension & competition between the boys. One of the boys also has his first romance with a girl that’s there.
